Warm Wishes
Latest News:
December was full of fun art projects.
I got to share my Anubis painting of a handsome Pharaoh Hound, full of warm, rich color.
I particularly enjoyed painting that one. Probably because it wasn’t a struggle and I like how it turned out. I’m hoping to do more like this in the near future.
Also, the end of the year gallery/infinite zoom video featuring all of the art of 2024 got wrapped up. That was another enjoyable project and a nice way to reflect on all of the drawings and paintings of the past year.
Lastly, for something a little different, I made a sketchy video, some happy new year encouragement for 2025.
In The Studio:
All in all, December has felt pretty productive and has me headed into the new year on a positive note!
Lots of ideas for future paintings and projects, brainstorming ideas for a Lunar New Year illustration, and wrapping up a project painting for a friend (I’m painting cats, can you believe it?), January is looking busy with exciting projects.
At Home:
December has been hectic both at work (day job) and at home.
We had a major snowstorm at the end of November which (when melting) had damaged one of the gutters on my house. Once again, it took multiple calls to multiple repair people to get someone out to fix it. I’m not being picky, I swear, I just wanted someone to return my call and show up and fix it.
But it’s done now, and I don’t have to worry that the next snowstorm will tear the gutter off completely.
The dogs are doing super (I think).
My little blind boy seems to be doing really well. But his next ophthalmologist appointment is later this week, so I will know more then. Prayers that his eye pressure is still low/normal and stable!
The Chihuahua is definitely well! She is happy, sweet and snuggly, with a few daily bouts of complete wildness to keep me on my toes!
I hope that you are well, that your Christmas was warm and bright, and that you have an absolutely wonderful New Year’s! May your 2025 be full of hope and love!
God bless!
