April 2026

Latest News:

The latest news section of this newsletter is continuing the trend of being underwhelming this month.

I’ve been working on my new bigger project but, at the moment, progress is slow, and I’m not quite ready to reveal it.

Working on this project has been interesting. I’m still figuring out how it all works and trying to develop my own workflow for progress.

In The Studio:

This past month, my art time has been focused on the new project. Unfortunately, this hasn’t included drawing or painting anything new.

Hopefully, I will get back to that soon, because that’s really what it’s all about.

In the meantime, I still get fun ideas, and I jot them down so I can refer back to them when I get back to drawing.

At Home:

Things are good at home.

That being said, it has been a bit stressful.

Both dogs had routine vet visits this month.

Senior dog Chloe‘s test results came back normal (yay!). She had a little tartar on her teeth and some gingivitis, so we proceeded with a dental.

I always worry excessively when they need to be put under anesthesia, so this made for a couple of tough days for me.

She did well for the surgery and recovered as expected, with no complications (much to my relief). However, she had to have four teeth pulled.

I was surprised and sad about this. Her teeth didn’t look bad at all, but I guess there was some bone loss, so it couldn’t be avoided.

She’s still on soft food (for a few more days), but no complaints about the soaked/softened kibble and lots of chicken and rice.

Mojo‘s vet visit also went well, his test results are pending, but we have no reason to expect any issues. And he’s definitely cashing in on the chicken and rice menu while he can!

I hope your month has been pleasant and low stress, and that your May is bright and beautiful!

God bless!

Jennifer
