March 2026

Latest News:

I’ve been a little tired this month.

Even with the milder weather and longer days (yay!), the stress level at work has me really drained. It gets hard to do anything more than what is absolutely necessary once I get home, because I just want to rest and decompress from the day.

My grand ambition of getting back to sketching and posting daily turned into not drawing or posting for weeks. It was like as soon as I put it out into the world, it evaporated.

It feels like I lied to you. I’m sorry.

In The Studio:

I’m laying the groundwork for a new and bigger project.

Starting a new project is always a bit daunting. A little overwhelming, and like I’m trying to find my way in the dark.

But it can be exciting too. And sometimes just doing it can create a sense of accomplishment (even if it doesn’t really succeed).

Given my above mentioned failure (of sketching and posting daily), I don’t want to mention too much just yet.

If I can get the ball rolling in the month ahead, I will share more in next month‘s newsletter (and on social media). Wish me luck!

At Home:

Thankfully, things are still quiet and uneventful at home.

Sometimes I find it strange (and maybe a little depressing) that I really don’t wish for big, amazing, wonderful things to happen for me in life, I’m just praying that nothing bad happens. Is that normal?

I continue to be very grateful that the dogs are doing well.

If you’re ever wondering, what having Chihuahuas is like, let me tell you: they are the perfect blend of spunk & energy and sweet couch potato.

They love to run & play, wrestle (with you or each other), tug, fetch, chase birds and squirrels, and bark at strangers. They love to chew the chewies and squeak the squeakies, and are small enough to run and get exercise in the house.

But when it comes to quiet time and relaxing, they are happy to curl up with you and snuggle for hours. They are true companion dogs. Their human is the light of their life, they are happy just being in your presence.

So, yes, they are “Velcro dogs“. If you like the independent type, they are not for you, lol.

I hope your spring is progressing nicely, and that good luck follows you as closely as a loving Chihuahua!

God bless,

Jennifer
