There’s not a lot that’s newsworthy happening right now at the Dynamic Dog Art headquarters.

I’m slowly adding items to the Etsy shop. As of last month, it had mainly T-shirts. This month I added a few coffee mugs and a long sleeve tee. I’m hoping to get some sweatshirts and hoodies added soon, so they will be ready when the weather cools down.

I wish I was faster and more efficient at creating the listings, but I want them to look good so I take my time. I guess I’ve always worked in a slow and steady way, more than prioritizing speed.

In The Studio:

I haven’t made any new art this month.

While this seems a little sad, I have been focused on adding to the Etsy shop, so I haven’t felt too bad about it.

And I do have some future pieces planned.

I have also taken a little time to work on some decluttering at home. It’s another one of those projects that makes me long to have more free time. If I could make myself get rid of a bunch of stuff I don’t use, it would be easier to organize what’s left…and maintain it.

It’s another project that’s a work in progress.

At Home:

Things at home have been mostly pretty quiet.

We had some brutal heat at the beginning of the month, but it’s gotten much more tolerable since.

The dogs are doing well, healthy and happy. They have daily bouts of rowdy play, running, and wrestling, which are quite entertaining to watch. And plenty of couch potato time as well, although they are less snuggly in the warm weather (understandably).

Oh, and I finally planted my new baby tree in the yard!

It’s a baby from the big tree that I had to remove. It’s about 32 inches high (about 81 cm).

I didn’t realize that maple trees prefer to be transplanted when they are dormant, so I should have done this months ago. But I will tend to it diligently and hope that I can make it thrive. I’m watering it on days it doesn’t rain, and have it staked for support, so it won’t get blown over in a storm before it has the chance to root securely.
