June 2025
Latest News:
The only painting completed in June was a happy, bouncy Boston Terrier, playing with his ball on a lovely summer day.
The Boston Terrier is a breed that, although I don’t draw/paint it nearly often enough, is near and dear to my heart.
Their personalities are fun and unique. They are playful little clowns that love to make their family laugh, but they aren’t shy about showing their opinion if there is someone they don’t like either!
In The Studio:
I have felt like pencil sketching lately and have done a few small sketches, but nothing particularly special.
Life has had me distracted lately, but I hope to get back into a regular routine soon.
I always feel better when life is more routine. It helps me balance time spent on responsibilities and time spent on the things I love.
Along with drawing and painting more, I really should be sharing my art more again, as well. In the state I’ve been in, feeling down, social media seems like a lower priority. But that underestimates the connection with like minded people found on social media. It’s another thing that plays into that balance I’m always searching for.
At Home:
I started looking for another dog to adopt this month. My grief made me want to wait longer, but I really felt that Chloe (Chihuahua) would be happier to have a housemate again. I also felt that it might help my broken little heart.
I was looking for a Boston Terrier mix, wanting something as close to my precious little boy as possible. But he was such a unique mix, that nothing I found seemed right.
I came across a sweet Chihuahua rescue that I thought would be a good fit for us. As I write this, he is curled up in my lap, just over 24 hours here in his new home. He and Chloe get along excellent and I hope very much that he will be happy here.
I hope that you have had the best June!
With all of life’s ups and downs, challenges and changes, I hope you come out of it with bright sunny days ahead.
Thank you for being a part of our challenging journey, thank you for being here!
God bless,
Jennifer
