September 2025
Latest News:
September has been full of sketching: pencil, charcoal, Conte, ink, even colored pencil. It’s been fun playing with different mediums and ideas, just trying to enjoy the process.
Filming the drawing process and editing the videos into upbeat clips has been a learning experience in itself, but as I get a little better at it, it’s surprisingly enjoyable.
Just like there’s that feeling of satisfaction when I finish a drawing, there’s a similar feeling when I finish making a video and put music to it, especially if I like how it turned out.
In The Studio:
As I’ve been working on drawing and video editing, my focus in the month (or more) ahead is to get more efficient at this process. The practice I’ve been getting by making two posts a week has been helping, I’m slowly getting better at it.
I have a number of ideas for new drawings and look forward to working on them, as well as starting to consider how I can incorporate my digital art into the style of videos I have been making. I have some thoughts on this, but since I’ve been a bit busy lately, those will have to simmer for another time.
For now I just want to get better at sketching, filming, editing, the rest will come with time.
At Home:
The weather this month so far has been just about perfect. Warm and breezy days (but not too hot), and cool evenings.
The dogs are doing great together, lots of play and silliness. Mojo has been with us just over two months, but it feels much longer because he fits in so well.
I still miss my little man terribly, every day. I don’t know when that grief will ease. But having this silly duo with me and all their antics, is a good distraction.
I hope that your September has been wonderful with the lovely weather that so often comes with the last days of summer.
I hope you and all those you love are healthy and happy!
Hug your dog!
God bless,
Jennifer
